A shopping trip, done by an agent
Agentic commerce means software that acts for a shopper: it finds products, checks the facts, asks for approval and completes the purchase within limits the person sets. Each step depends on something the store has to provide.
Discover
The agent finds the store and its products through pages it can read: the store page, every product page, the sitemap and the site's llms.txt summary.
Understand
Every product page carries schema.org Product and Offer data: name, description, picture, SKU, price in US dollars, stock status and condition.
Decide
The agent compares the offers against what the person asked for and brings back a choice. A human can ask the site's AI concierge the same questions.
Buy
Cart and checkout run through one of seven supported payment providers. This store's gateway is being connected; until then checkout stops before payment.
